How to be a Professional Gambler

Everybody wants to know how to be a professional gambler.  The notion that you can play games all day as a profession is appealing to most people.  I’ve decided to provide an inside look into the world of professional gambling.

Let me start by saying, it is indeed possible to be a professional gambler.  There are several games in the casino where the player can put the odds in his/ her favor.  It sounds like a great way to make some fast cash, but it’s not that easy.  In fact, it takes a great deal of discipline, knowledge, and skill to swing the odds in your favor.  Very few people ever move beyond the basic “How to” of casino games, therefore playing at a disadvantage over the “house.”

What I wanted to do was show people the easiest way to get started as a pro, and give them a glimpse of what it takes to sustain yourself financially through gambling.  The first book in my, “How to be a professional gambler” series deals with video poker.

Some people are surprised to hear that video poker can be played with the odds in your favor, but it’s true.  My book shows you the best way to start as a video poker pro, and exactly what you need to do to play for a profit.  It’s a beginners look at playing video poker at a professional level.  (Please note: I do assume in the book that you know the basics of the game and how to play video poker)

How to be a professional gambler

You may have no intention of ever playing video poker full-time, and that’s fine.  You will still be able to pick-up many tips about how to improve your odds and what games to look for.  If you’re interested in playing on a full-time basis, this book will give you a clearer picture of exactly what that entails.  By the end of the book you will be able to determine if it is something you wish to pursue further, and I let you know exactly how to do so.

Anybody who plays video poker needs to know the facts in this book.  Even if you don’t use them all, or practice on a regular basis, you will still be better off the next time you go to the casino.

The next two e-books will cover playing blackjack (card counting) as a professional and betting on sports as a professional.  The first book in the series “How to be a Professional Gambler: Video Poker Edition” is now available on Amazon.

Don’t forget my feature book, “Gamblers Fight Back” is due to hit bookstores by Christmas of this year.

About Greg Elder

I was 37 years old, a husband and father, a former teacher, college and high school basketball coach, and a business owner, I decided to give it all up (Not the husband and father part) to take a shot at pro gambling. I was coming off a job I hated selling insurance, and I vowed to do something I was passionate about. For the next year I would spend 12-15 hours a day researching, studying, and practicing advantage gambling techniques. The goal was to see if I could sustain our current lifestyle as a professional gambler. I wanted to find out if casinos really could be beat. At the time, I thought it may be the biggest mistake of my life, but my intentions were to have fun trying. It has been an interesting few years since that journey began. My feature book GAMBLERS FIGHT BACK has been released and can be purchased on my author site at www.GREGELDERAUTHOR.com I would consider my pro gambling career to be a success on all fronts. I didn't win millions of dollars, but I was able to enjoy every minute of it. It brought an excitement and passion back into my professional life. It has helped lead me to a writing career that I had no idea I even wanted before this challenge. I was able to write a book that shared with others exactly what I learned along the way.. Gambling professionally is not easy, but there are certain things the average gambler can do to increase their chances of success tremendously. That's the information I try to pass along to my readers.
